A Fine Start began as an accessibility tool for myself. I have difficulty typing because of a disability. A Fine Start made navigating to all my usual websites super easy—just a click away!
As I refined the tool I started thinking other folks might enjoy it as well. I put some elbow grease and polish into it and released it as a free browser extension and optional subscription in 2017. I caught my first break when Chris Coyier (of CodePen and formerly CSS-Tricks) mentioned A Fine Start in an article.
It’s been trucking along ever since and has seen gradual improvement and refinement.
